A child- or youth group (10 people or more) is defined as a group of travellers who do not meet the current age limits. Only the group's leader will book the trip and pay for the booking.
On our routes between Helsinki and Tallinn only passports or national ID cards are accepted regardless of age.
On our routes only between the Nordic countries, at least the requirements of the Agreement on order on board must be met for travelers under the age of 18. This agreement, with a fully completed passenger list, allows travel for persons under 18 years old without bringing their own valid ID for school trips, sports trips or similar group trips together with a designated responsible group leader, if the group leader brings their own valid ID with photograph included and a list of the accompanying children's personal data.
However, for possible government controls, it is recommended to bring a valid photo ID.
Viking Line has a set quota of 100 people per cruise with departure Sun–Wed and 40 per cruise with departure Thu–Sat. A youth group is defined as a group consisting mainly of young people.
